NEW MENU

New Menu has two purposes.  The main one is to allow all Greens running for any office to have a website; this is for candidates with no budget, web knowledge, or websites.  (If a candidate wants forums, video, email lists, credit cards, etc., this website isn't for them.)  The other purpose is to be a directory of all Greens running for office.  The following information is taken from the New Menu website:

A New Menu comes from the idea that as citizens in a democracy, we should not be like people visiting a restaurant, coming in periodically and choosing from a list of options.  We should should be in the kitchen, with our sleeves rolled up, coming up with new ideas that will benefit us collectively.  We need to create a new menu of services we need from our government, not accept the choices our government is offering us.  Visitors may browse for candidates based on office or geography.

Candidates who listed with the US Green Party as Greens, from local to national office, may have a free web site through this page.  Included is an email address, a blog, and other features that will be added later.  Green campaigns that already have a web site, may still be listed in our directory with a link to their official election site.  Green candidates with little or no campaign budgets can still have their qualifications, issues, and contact information available online.  As the list to the right gets longer, it will be limited to the most recent additions.

Mass communication should not be the masses receiving the message, but broadcasting it.  This is especially true in politics.   A New Menu is run by Greens for Greens.
